Spooktacular Calendar Girls' Challenge
The Calendar Girls were challenged this month to make a Halloween themed card. We had to use purple on our card. We needed to have three layers, one of which was DP. We also needed to use two embellishments and one had to be glitter.
As some of you know, my oldest loves her tarantula, so when I saw the spider DP from SU...I had to get it and do something with it. I found the great punch art spiders on SCS. I used Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive, Basic Black and Whisper White cardstock. I ran the spider DP through my spider web embossing folder also from SU and added a GLITTER glue smile to Spidey. I colored my linen thread with white craft ink and hung the little bugger from a white brad. The sentiment is from SU's Teeny Tiny Wishes set.
Our wonderful hostess, Tami, also wanted us to share what is our favorite candy to find in our trick-or-treat bag and a fun thing we do for Halloween. We really don't celebrate Halloween as some do, but we do take our kids to a Fall Festival at their school. My favorite candy...hmmm...I do like chocolate. But at this time of year...I really want to find me some candy corn in my trick-or-treat bag (she says as she pops one into her mouth.) YUM!
Thanks for stopping by and please check out all the Calendar Girls' spooktacular creations. You can find their blogs in my sidebar.
