April Dueling Darlings Challenge

This month the Dueling Darlings challenge was hosted by Darlene for the Dazzlers and Tami for the Divas.  Our hostesses decided that since April is National Gardening Month their kits would have a floral theme.

And WOW!!!  Did Darlene send us a boatload of a kit.  There was so much goodness that I was able to make two cards and could have made two more.

Darlene's kit for the Dazzlers included:

Image: *SU's Sweet Seasons (2004) stamped with Tuxedo Black on Conqueror Diamond White CS
Papers: *SEI's Field Notes pack
(I am in love with the DP from this company)
Doilies from my local supermarket!
Bakers twine from Can You Digi It?
Glitter brads from SU
Dragonfly Brad from Creative Impressions
Fabric Alpha Tabs from Letter Press (did you all notice that you rec'd the letter of your first name?)
Adhesive gems from K & Company
assorted banner etc. labels from Martha Stewart
Green leaf tags: unknown
non adhesive little gemstones by Paper Studio
Mini clothespins from A Muse Studios
lacey ribbon from local sewing store (I don't have any more either, mine will have to do without)

And here are my cards:

Thanks for stopping by.  Please see my sidebar for all the Darlings blogs and check out their wonderful creations.

Look at you MIss Two Cards! I love them both!!!

The first is colored perfectly for the DP. I like how you used the two DP's together on the card.

The second is soft and pretty. I like the way that you colored her dress. Great die cut to go with.

Super job this round!

My goodness...not one but TWO beauties!!LOve them both but my preference goes to the use of the deeper colored d/p of the first card w/ coloring to match...the second one is 'fresh' looking like
a spring day after a light sprinkle of rain :o) Impressive and beautifully done Deb!!♥

Debbie--what a great set of cards--two beauties! I love the colors in both of them and they sure remind me that spring and summer are coming--and I hope it gets to you in Alaska soon too! I love the layouts!

I am so glad we are both members of this wonderful group of ladies!

So, so pretty Debbie. I have plenty left to make another card also. I love that you made the first a Mother's Day card and I like how the edges of the doily are showing in the second. :)

Wow! And double Wow! What beautiful cards, Debbie! Love how you used the DSP on the first card and how your tilted the beautifully colored image panel. The touch of twine with the little flower in the bow is the perfect embellishment! Love the light and airy look of the second card, the gorgeous die cut panel with the soft colored panels and pearl embellishments...so pretty!

Whoops, I didn't realize that was the doily on the image panel of the second card! Very creative use...looks just like a die cut! Love it!!!

It's a twofer!! Love them! I really love that the cards are so different, but both have a softness to them that compliments the image so well. Beautiful job, Debbie! Hope your week is off to a great start, my friend! Hugs, kadie

Oh my word!!! Debbie, these are visions!! So different, yet each is so lovely! Where to even begin? The Mother's Day card is very striking, your colors and layout are wonderful. Especially love the twine and flower gem together!
The second card is so soft and fresh! Very cool how you used the doily on this one. I also love the softly colored image, her outfit especially. I love them both! So glad that you had fun with the kit!
