CATCHING UP!

I got behind in my Dueling Darlings posts and I apologize.  Now I am catching up.

The Dazzlers received a great kit from April for the month of May.  (I apologize again as I have misplaced the kit details.)

The minute I saw the contents of the kit, I knew I wanted to make something to show off a picture of my daughter and granddaughter.  So here it is.

This was so fun to make.  I really loved the size of these clipboards and ended up back at Walmart and got a few more so I could decorate a few more to show off more photos.

The second picture is a card I made from the June kit that was sent to the Dazzler by Terry.  Her kit included:

Image: Unity "Celebrate"
DP: My Minds Eye "Pieced Pinwheels", Colorbok "Stars and Stripes"
Solid Cardstock: Core'dinations "Deep Navy", "Burgandy" and "Snowcap"

Embellishments:
Craftwork Cards Candi "Prince Charming", "Icing Sugar" and "Regal Ruby"
Rhinestones: Red and Clear - The Paper Studio
Blue Twine: Studio 112
Buttons: Miscellaneous from JoAnn's

Thanks ladies for the great kits!

My first card was for the February challenge.  Darlene was the hostess for the Dazzlers.

My second card is for the March challenge and Paola was our hostess.

My third card is for the April challenge and Melina was our hostess.

It felt good to get back into card making.  Thank you to all three wonderful hostesses!!!  Please see my sidebar and check out all the blogs of the Dueling Darlings for their fabulous creations.

Dueling Darlings January Challenge

Happy New Year!

The card on my blog today is for the Dueling Darlings January Challenge.

Judy and I were the hostesses and chose a birthday theme.

The kit for the Dazzlers included:

DP - American Crafts, Confetti - Banana Cream Brady and Peanut Butter Benny.
Images - Whippersnappers "Little Girl and Dotted Present" and Stampin Up! "Birthday Whimsey" (cake)
Sentiment - A Muse "Itty Bitty Birthday"

Images and sentiment stamped in Memento Ink black and cocoa

Buttons - SU!
Ribbons - SU! Rose, crushed curry, orange, bermuda bay

We also asked the Darlings to post a favorite birthday memory.

I have a memory, kind of funny... My friends planned a surprise birthday party for me for my thirtieth birthday.  I ended up going home from work that day sick. Didn't want to get out of bed at all that evening.  The cat had to be let out of the bag that I was going to ruin the surprise party if I didn't show up.  I did show up and pretended like I didn't know a thing.

And here is my card.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please see my sidebar and check out all the Dueling Darlings blogs for their creations.

Calendar Girls August Challenge

Our challenge this month, from Paola, was....

Hello Calendar Girls ♥
for the month of August, I would like to challenge everyone to embrace the PUNCH ART tecnique...yup, dust off your punches Ladies!
Please feel free to use a stamped sentiment of your choice , but the main focus is being creative, using punches .

My card is very simple as once again the 28th caught me by surprise.  I saw this design on SCS several years ago and wanted to reproduce it for this challenge because I really like the simplicity of it and it could be used for any occasion.
